Young Elham has lived a carefree life in the desert oasis until a massacre devastates his people, leaving only him and his little sister Ewa as survivors. Alone in the desert, they manage to build a new life. As a young adult, Elham is introduced to the secrets of sexuality and discovers how sexual energy can heal old wounds and free him as a person. Together with his young wife, he shares this knowledge, and its liberating effects have a profound impact on a small community and future generations.

However, their newfound freedom is seen as a threat from the outside, as they have broken away from the prevailing norms and rules of society.

Note: The novel was originally published in Norwegian in June 2022 under the title “Livskraft.” (Life Force”) Due to its layout and title, it was perceived as a non-fiction book. This inspired me to revise the title for the English version to better reflect its content.
